Group Meeting, Grad Student Receives DOE Fellowship, and New Video

We held our spring group wide meeting at MSU’s Agronomy Farm in late March and everyone got to hear about progress on individual aspects of the project. We have a lot of exciting work and preliminary findings that we look forward to sharing soon. Check out a picture of our crew below.

MMPRNT Spring 2018 Group Meeting

Darian Smercina, graduate student in Lisa Tiemann’s lab, learned last week that she was the recipient of a DOE fellowship to spend 6 months at Environmental Molecular Sciences Lab (EMSL) which is part of Pacific Northwest National Lab. She will be exploring novel methods to understand C and N cycling in sterile switchgrass systems. Congrats Darian!

The final MMPRNT video put together by Evan Kutz and Bethany Bolen is now published. Big thanks for Evan and Bethany for your work on this series!!!
